No prior experience is necessary! Our workshops are designed for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. I will guide you through the entire process, from best practice, to exposing and developing your cyanotype prints

3. What will I learn in the workshop?

Our cyanotype workshop covers a range of topics, including:

  • Introduction to Cyanotype: Learn about the history and science behind cyanotypes.
  • Introduction to plants for printing: Taking inspiration from Robin Wall Kimerrer, we share our everyday lives with incredible plant beings and  cyanotype can help us to build a stronger relationship with nature.
  • Materials and Equipment: Discover the materials needed and how to set up your workspace.
  • Creating Cyanotypes: Using a vast pressed flower collection, explore various methods of arranging objects and negatives to create unique designs.
  • Exposure and Development: Learn how to expose your prints and develop them to achieve the desired effect.
  • Troubleshooting: Get tips for common challenges and how to achieve the best results.

4. What should I bring to the workshop?

All necessary materials and equipment will be provided. Just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! You may also want to bring along some objects or negatives you'd like to use in your cyanotype creations.

5. How long is the workshop?

Our standard workshop typically lasts 1.5 -2.5 hours, but this may vary depending on the specific workshop. Be sure to check the workshop details for the exact duration.

6. Can I bring my kids to the workshop?

Absolutely! We welcome participants of all ages. However, please check the workshop details to see if there are any age restrictions or recommended age ranges for specific workshops. Please do not leave children under the age of 13 unattended.

Yes, you'll be able to take your cyanotype prints home on the same day!
